Task 5 to 8
Daniela Stefanía León Martinez
Task 5. Problems in my neighborhood
In our neighborhood, we have been able to identify problems that affect our
community. The first issue and, I consider, the most important is insecurity, as
there have been frequent thefts in some homes, a way to prevent this is to join as a
community to monitor common areas with the help of a surveillance company.
Another concern is that the residents are being affected by the irresponsibility of
some people with their pets such as pet feces in common areas, the best way to
control this is to apply a fine for people to become aware. And third, but not least,
is the lack of respect among neighbors, one way to stop this is to participate in
coexistence workshops that allow better communication between residents.'
Let's be a community!
Task 6. Love for cooking.
I found a love for cooking while I was in college; must admit that for someone who
hated cooking, it wasn't easy.
An idea to cook without failing is by practicing as much as you can, taking
advantage of the opportunities you have to cook, and most important: Being
tidy, because I think the hardest part is cooking without wasting food.
A way to learn how to cook is by watching videos on YouTube or taking
classes.
You could improve your knowledge by reading blogs about the precautions
and things you can do when you cook.
If I learned, you can too!
Task 7. Magdalena León Gomez.
Magdalena was born on June 30, 1939, and is currently 82 years old. She is a
Colombian feminist sociologist specializing in social research, that analyzes the
realities to which Colombian women are exposed from the sociological point of
view.

Task 6. Love for cooking.

I found a love for cooking while I was in college; must admit that for someone who hated cooking, it wasn't easy.  An idea to cook without failing is by practicing as much as you can, taking advantage of the opportunities you have to cook, and most important: Being tidy, because I think the hardest part is cooking without wasting food.  A way to learn how to cook is by watching videos on YouTube or taking classes.  You could improve your knowledge by reading blogs about the precautions and things you can do when you cook. If I learned, you can too!

Task 7. Magdalena León Gomez.

Magdalena was born on June 30, 1939, and is currently 82 years old. She is a Colombian feminist sociologist specializing in social research, that analyzes the realities to which Colombian women are exposed from the sociological point of view.

She was one of the first researchers to be recognized in the 1970s. Magdalena made a great contribution to women’s activism by taking gender studies throughout the country, she was also part of the Latin American Women’s Movement. With this movement, she traveled the world reaching out to the most vulnerable women’s communities such as peasant women, mothers who are heads of household, social leaders, and domestic workers. In 2018, she received the Doctorate Honoris Causa for her long history of research in women’s and gender studies in Colombia and Latin America, and for her contributions to public policies that benefit women. Task 8. Apology Letter. Dear Estefany. We have been friends for a long time, but I know that during the past year I was not the best friend, because I walked away from you. I should have talked to you about my problems before my distance affected our friendship; I know that I am the main responsible, and I wish I could turn back time, so I don’t make the same mistakes because I know I should have made better decisions that would allow me to be the friend you deserve. I hope we find the opportunity to talk about it, I miss you. Sincerely, Daniela.
