Writing Task (UNIT 19)

MEMORY

One of the most special and strong moments that I will never forget was when I was in high school and of all the students I was elected president of the electoral committee to elect a mayor the next school year. I had studied there for five years and that was my last year of high school. One day they announced that the teachers would be calling for students to be elected members of the electoral committee by voting. When I heard that it was something normal because I never believed that I would be the one chosen to lead the voting for a new mayor, along with more classmates, teachers and the school director. Until during math class a teacher arrived saying that I and another classmate from my classroom have been requested to be able to elect the members of the committee; We attended, however we did not know that we were going to be chosen and carry a big responsibility at that time. After the calls and everything, I was elected as committee president while my partner was elected as the secretary, meanwhile other colleagues occupied other positions. After that, we had many tasks to do as the school's electoral committee; We had many pleasant, stressful and sad experiences. As a result of our efforts, we were able to finish the election process and name the winner or in fact the new mayor of the school. Finally we celebrated with all the teachers and colleagues on the committee for having fulfilled our mission as a team, at the end of everything I felt exhausted but I took advantage of all the time I had left with my friends, plus with that mission I was able to have new experiences so it wasn't something so bad, maybe it was a little tiring but it was an experience that I will not forget.
