1. Which is the importance or treaties in International Law?
Treaties indicate the level of commitment, the obligations of states and
resources that can be used for dispute resolution, so as the penalties that
could be imposed in case of difault.
2. What do you think about Customary International Law?
The Customary International Law are laws that are not written, however they
are based on precedents that have become customary over the time. The
United States use it.
3. What do you think about Soft law?
I think that the Soft Law can be a good option in cases that need an
inmediately answer, because of the short time that this law needs,
compared to treaties that need so much time to be negotiated.
4. Create your own definition of International Law
The internacional law is the responsible of regulate the relationships
between states, as well as the dispute resolutions between them.
5. Which are the main differences between "legitimacy theory" and "liberal
theories"
The theory of legitimacy talks about the control of the state over people "You
must act according to a law". The Liberal theories defend the freedom of the
people, the state intervenes minimally.
6. Which are the main consequences described in section "E. the problems of
large stakes"?
The main consequences are the reputational consequences originated from
taking an important decision.
Opinion: In my own personal opinion, it is important for us to know about the
International law. As mentioned above, International Law regulate the relationship
between states, so we need to know about that cause it´s necessary to understand
whats going on in our state.
