2? Nurtured in Christ, Centered in Christ, Commissioned in Christ THE PLANNING CYCLE How can the nurse make the planning process simple and uncomplicated so people are able to participate in it? Often, people lose interest in planning because of the technical language and process that nurses and other professionals use. This need not be the case: people know better about their community; they also are articulate about their needs and their problems. What nurses and other professionals need to do is to facilitate people to express themselves. A common technique for planning to‘be participatory is to ask lead questions for people to discuss about.
