I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learner understands the nature and
elements of oral communication in context.
B. Performance Standards The learner designs and performs effective
controlled and uncontrolled oral
communication activities based on context.
C. Learning Competencies/ Objectives Define Communication (EN11/12OC-Ia-1)
At the end of the lesson, the learners should be
able to:
1. Define communication,
2. Demonstrate the different types of
communication, and;
3. State the importance of communication.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
A. Topic Definition of communication

C. Materials TV Screen, Laptop, Hand outs
III. PROCEDURES
A. Review The class will be divided into groups.
1. Instruct the group to look for words which
is associated with "communication" using the
letters C-O-M-M-U-N-I-C-A-T-E
2. The group will be given 3 minutes to
present their work.
B. Motivation The class will be divide into groups.
Game: "Pass the message"
1. For each round, let each group send a
representative who will receive the message
from the trainer. The first member must then
pass the message to the second member, then
pass to the next member up to the last
member. The last member of the group shall

W_it__n Discussion  Communication is the process of sharing our ideas, thoughts, and feelings with other people and having those ideas, thoughts, and feelings understood by the people we are communicating with.  When we communicate we speak, listen and observe.  Communication is the process of sharing and conveying messages or information, from one person to another within and across channels, contexts, media and cultures (McCornack, 2014)  There are types of communication:
