Essay and follow the directions below.
• Explain how the Disney study away program will be important and unique for your professional
development? How will the Disney study away program impact your career and future goals?
• The KSU Disney Interactive Entertainment Study program involves music, film, television, video
game, computer graphics, 3D modeling and animation, AR/VR, behind-the-scenes tours, lectures
from Disney Imagineers, and projects for students inside the Walt Disney World® Resort. Explain
how these experiences will enrich your academic learning, prepare you for your future and
career. Discuss how Disney and Pixar have pioneered world-changing entertainment technology,
and how these advances will affect your learning outcomes and future goals.
Student Applicant Essay Directions:
Student Applicant Essays must be 750 words, double-spaced.
1. Explain why you are interested in the program.
2. Address the ways that you will bring benefit to the program, the faculty and university.
3. Connect past experiences with your future intentions. Explain how this program will help both.
4. Employ specific examples to demonstrate your accomplishments and qualifications thus far for
your proposed path, and how the program will help you attain your future goals.
5. Detail your professional motivations, and personal aspirations and how this program will help
you to attain them.
6. Your essay must be easy to read, organized in straightforward way, and free from grammar,
spelling, and punctuation errors.
7. Importantly, your essay should be authentic to you: your voice, your story, your passions, your
career plans.
