Inventories are essential for keeping the production wheels moving, keep the market going and the distribution system intact. Theses inventories allow additional flexibility for suppliers in planning, producing and delivering an order for a given product’s part, Loner (2003). The concept of inventory, stock or work-in-process has been extended from manufacturing systems to service businesses and projects, by generalizing the definition to be "all work within the process of production- all work that is or has occurred prior to the completion of production." In the context of a manufacturing production system, inventory refers to all work that has occurred – raw materials, partially finished products, finished products prior to sale and departure from the manufacturing system. In the context of services, inventory refers to all work done prior to sale, including partially process information. Inventory management is a discipline primarily about specifying the shape and placement of stocked goods. It is required at different location within a facility or within many locations of a supply network to precede the regular and planned course of production and stock of materials. The automated inventory system will be composed of a database system wherein the data of the items will be stored, and this will be used by the staffs to view the availability of each items. This will serve as the visualization that will provide an accessible and readily format that will help the staff to easily understand the automated inventory system. Operational Model

Fig.2 illustrates the operational model of the study that will represent the different variable that provides the guidelines that could affect the process of the developing system. The VB .NET will be independent variables because the user could have the capability to control the entire system. The researchers will use VB.NET because it is very easy to use and to create a program. Through this, the users will save time in checking the available stock for each item. MySQL will be used by the researchers as the database of the system wherein the data will be stored and modified. Scope and Delimination This study will be focusing in developing an automated inventory system for the staff or admins in Labada Express located at Biñan, Laguna. The data will be provided by the admins of the said shop. This study will be limited in monitoring the current stock of the items, it is also limited in updating the saved data in the database. The allotted storage cannot be expanded automatically by the administrators. The data will be inputted and adjusted manually by the staff in order to have an updated inventory system. Significance of the Study This study will mainly benefit the business industry as well as the customers since the proposed system will be automatically show the availability of each item using Visual Basic .NET and MySQL as the database. Addition to this, the proposed system can produce short waiting queuing process that will be more beneficial to the customers. Through this, the sales of the laundry business could increase because it provides a reliable and fast service. Also, the business owners will easily monitor lack of supply or availability of the products, this will prevent shortage of items in the future.

The kinds of inventory tracked with an inventory system can include almost any type of quantifiable good, including food, clothing, books, equipment, and any other item that consumers, retailers, or wholesalers may purchase. It also employed in a wide variety of applications, but they all revolve around tracking delivery of goods to customers. It is crucial in retail stores, especially those with a large number or variety of merchandise items for sale. Inventory System is also used in warehouses to track orders and shipments, and for automated order processing (Barcodes, 2018). Stuff I've Seen (SIS) is describes as the design and evaluation of a system, called that facilitates data re-use. This is accomplished in two ways. First, the system provides a unified index of data that a person has seen, whether it was seen as email, web page, document, appointment, etc. Second, because the data has been seen before, contextual cues can be used in the search interface. Zhu, Yan & Song (2017) states with the ever-increasing amount of scientific literature, there is a need for a natural language interface to list information retrieval systems to retrieve relevant information effectively. The researcher propose one such interface, NLI-GIBIR, which allows users to search for a variety of list data through natural language. NLI-GIBIR makes use of a novel framework applicable to graph-based list information retrieval systems in general. This framework incorporates algorithms for interpreting and analyzing natural language list queries via a series of text- and linguistic- based techniques, including tokenization, named entity recognition, and syntactic analysis. Although document data contain much more abundant information, users can retrieve necessary information only from the title and description in conventional web services. In order to meet the demands for fast and accurate retrieval of valuable information, they propose a fast and effective content-based document information retrieval system that retrieves the information from the actual content of a document. The proposed method is based on a topic model of Latent Dirichlet Allocation that is used to extract major keywords for a given document. The main contributions of this system are the increased flexibility, effectiveness, and fast retrieval of information. It also can easily communicate with existing web service through the standard JSON format. According to Khari & Jain (2016) the information retrieval is an automated way of extracting the information from various sources. It has always been a key area of research due to its wide range of applications in document searching, software traceability etc. They presented an analysis of the three basic models of information retrieval i.e. Vector Space Model, Latent Dirichlet Allocation Model and Latent Semantic Indexing Model in this paper. The researchers’ main purpose is to benefit the sales staff, admin/owner and customers who use manual to look for a stock available in their shop. Using this proposed study, it could be a way of a fast and precise to look for an

Gaps Bridged by the Present Study Based on the related literatures and studies cited above, the researchers identified the gaps as there were no other studies made utilizing Labada Express Biñan explained by the detail that the absence of customer satisfaction from Labada Express out the gap appeared between awareness and customer expectation of services. This study aimed to solve the problems encountered especially by the Labada Express on an everyday routine by providing them with a convenient assistive for customers that need help. The combinational use Visual Basic .NET can potentially introduce an accurate and reliable way of identifying the availability of the product from the shop. This system will also provide a list of inventories and required the admin/owner or sales staff to regularly update the inventory system. Definitive, the researchers have created a basis for further study in the field of inventory system, retrieval of information, Data and Information.
