1. What is the importance of marketing in selling tourism products and services?
- Marketing is critical to achieving this, and many of the greatest tourism marketing
strategies focus on assisting businesses in identifying and promoting their unique selling
point. Of course, keeping up with the newest trends is critical for marketers who want to
establish a diversified marketing mix and use the most effective techniques for getting
their message out.
2. Give 3 examples of tourism/ hospitality products. Then explain how the
characteristics of the tourism and hospitality product are evident in each that you
mentioned.
Accommodation, Transportation, Restaurants for Food and Beverages
Accommodation – refers to a set of rooms or a building where someone can live or
stay. It is essential for visitors who wish to travel to another area or go on a trip because
they will always need a place to stay, such as hotels, caravan parks, and camp sites.
Accommodation is divided into two categories; serviced and non-serviced, both of which
are distinct from one another. They’re all employed by the private sector, which means
they’re looking to make money and expand their companies.
Transportation – tourism growth is both a cause and an effect of transportation. To
begin with, increased facilities have spurred tourism, which in turn has sparked the
construction of transportation infrastructure. The major role of the fundamentals of
tourism transportation is accessibility. Tourist can use a variety of transportation modes
to get to their desired destinations, which are frequently used in order.
Restaurants for Food and Beverages – food and beverages tourism allow travelers to
appreciate a region’s culinary resources by exposing them to new and intriguing flavors,
textures, and scents, as well as learning about a place’s cultural and historical legacy.
