Haverford Alliance for Drug Awareness Scholarship:
The mission of the Haverford Alliance for Drug Awareness (HADA) is to remove the stigma that
surrounds the disease of drug addiction. To that effort, this group has committed to work with alliance
partners including local township council, the Haverford School District, the Delaware County medical
community, local law enforcement, and local clergy. Our goal is to help educate all Township residents
about the dangers of the drugs that surround our community, and to provide resources to those
suffering addiction and their families.
This year, HADA will offer a scholarship to a graduating senior from Haverford High School who is a child
or family member of a person(s) suffering from alcoholism or drug addiction. In line with our mission,
HADA supports children in our community who have persevered academically despite the hardships that
often come with living with a person suffering from addiction.
All scholarship applications will remain anonymous. HADA and Haverford High School will not present
the scholarship publicly out of respect for both the scholarship applicant and his/her family. After
receiving application packets, the HADA scholarship committee will contact the scholarship awardee
