Examples^ of^ Oral^ Defense^ Responses Below^ are^ some^ types^ of^ responses^ that^ you^ will^ see^ in^ the

oral^ defense.^ The^ score^ for^ the^ row^ will^ be^ dependent^ on

the^ number^ of^ responses^ given^ in each^ category^ (refer^ to^ scoring^ notes). Generic^ or^ unacceptably^ brief^ Relevant

evidence^ specific^ to^ the^ team’s^ Relevant^ evidence project (specific^ but^ provides^ no^ evidence^ of collaboration)

specific^ to^ collaboration on this project Time^ management.^ I^ realized

that^ all^ drop out^ rates^ aren’t^ In^ the^ beginning,^ specifically^ towards^ bullying,^ could^ be^ other reasons such^ as^ economic.^ [Own^ lens^ only]

as^ [team^ mate]^ said,^ when we were struggling^ with^ how^ specific^ we wanted to get in this^ area,^ [team^ mate]^ was^ a very strong fighter^ for^ solitary^ confinement and she’d done a great^ job^ of^ finding^ a^ ton^ of support and research^ for^ it,^ but^ then^ the^ other 3 of us thought it was^ too^ specific…if^ we’d gone the route of solitary^ confinement^ that would mean we’d^ have^ to^ do^ adult^ prisons^ and it’s also been lowered^ lately^ so^ there^ is^ less recent statistics… We^ should^ brainstorm^ more. We^ wanted^ to^ include^ both^ positive^ and^ So,^ the^ biggest negative^ effects^ but^ overall^ we^ thought^ [it] negatively^ affected^ society^ more.

gap^ in^ my^ research^ is^ probably about military expenditure^ because^ I^ looked^ at the overall figures^ instead^ of^ the^ actual breakdowns, for^ example,^ I^ was^ talking^ about how in WWI we^ spent^ $341^ on^ military^ budget but I didn’t really^ look^ in^ depth^ on^ what^ we actually spent in,^ so^ if^ I^ had^ more^ time^ I^ would probably go in depth^ about^ that. [Own lens only] Overall^ I^ think^ that^ [team^ mate]^ that summarized^ it^ the^ most,^ like^ the^ content^ was made^ simpler,^ easier^ to^ understand. I^ think^ we^ could^ go^ into^ more^ detail^ about^ We^ said^ historical^ aspects^ and^ how^ it^ has^ impacted^ the future.

because^ even^ the^ people^ in^ Hollywood^ We^ had^ to^ change recognize^ that^ the^ bees^ need^ to^ be^ protected and are decreasing^ in^ number,^ we^ thought^ it was pretty^ important^ to^ include^ that^ because even the people^ who^ aren’t^ studying^ the^ bees or environmentalist^ are^ recognizing^ the^ fact that the bees^ need^ to^ be^ protected. [Own lens^ only]

the^ presentation^ because^ of the time limit, so we^ had^ to^ cut^ a^ bit^ about astronomers, it showed^ how^ it^ affected^ them, how they see the sky^ at^ night,^ so^ that^ was^ one thing we had to change. We^ left^ out^ what^ was^ irrelevant.

For^ the^ social^ lens^ we^ had^ a^ part^ about fatigue,^ and^ how^ people^ who^ have^ disrupted circadian^ rhythms,^ they^ get^ tired^ earlier^ –^ their whole^ cycle^ is^ thrown^ off^ –^ they^ get^ fatigued and^ they^ cannot^ perform^ as^ well^ at^ their^ jobs, especially^ for^ airline^ pilots^ and^ surgeons^ and people^ who^ have^ to^ be^ alert^ in^ their^ job–^ we decided^ to^ cut^ that^ out^ because^ we’d^ already established^ that^ circadian^ rhythm^ disrupts^ our normal^ cycles^ and^ we^ thought^ that^ being fatigued^ would^ be^ implied^ in^ that.^ [Not^ own^ lens] More^ research^ on^ each^ of^ our^ lenses^ would^ be^ As^ a^ group beneficial.

we^ decided^ to^ cut^ out^ certain information^ from^ my^ research^ for^ example when we talked^ about^ mental^ illnesses^ and brain development,^ as^ out^ of^ my^ individual research paper^ I^ had^ more^ information^ on^ the affects that^ brain^ development^ had… [Own lens only] You^ need^ to^ learn^ the^ history^ to^ see^ how^ it^ will change^ in^ the^ future. We^ kind^ of^ all^ talked^ about^ the^ same^ thing. We^ worked^ together^ to^ put^ our^ lenses^ in^ one.
