Teenage pregnancy is one of the biggest problems for teenagers all across the globe and what
make this problem more complicated is ; The socio-economic consequences of this problem
and the moral taboo attached to it but There are organizations fighting for the rights of teenage
mothers and In recent years the attitude of society towards Teenage pregnancy is also changing
positively .
Teenage Pregnancy is seen as a Taboo in our society , A teen giving birth to a child before
marriage ; Is something that the society can’t digest easily . There are some moral codes of
conduct for living in society and Teenage pregnancy goes against it which creates much stress
for a Teen who is pregnant .
When a girl below 20 years gets pregnant it’s known as Teenage pregnancy . Teenage is not
considered to be the age of being a mother as a teenager is neither physically nor metally
prepared for doing the duties of a mother .
There are some big complications with Teenage pregnancy like :-
Health problems – Teenage pregnancy can sometimes lead to serious health problems for both
mother and the child . A pregnant woman has to take special care of herself, in Pregnancy .
Taking 350 calories and 8 litres of water per day are necessary for good physical health of a
child and the most important thing which becomes very hard for Teen mothers to follow is ;
Taking no stress . Stress during pregnancy can have very adverse effects on the child and
Teenage mothers have to face a lot of stress from family , friends and society .
Economic problems – Teenage mothers are 63% more vulnerable to an insecure future and bad
financial condition as only 50% of Teenage mothers complete higher education than the
average of 90% . Without higher education and good degrees , getting a high paying job
becomes practically impossible . Both the Teenage mothers and their children in this way are
dragged to poverty .

so harshly ”
Social problems – It’s a general Trend observed with Teenage mothers that the fathers don’t act
supportive , They are generally afraid of society or they themselves aren’t even financially and
mentally capable of taking care of a child and It’s all on a Teenage girl to take care of another
child . In Teenage our brains and our thinking aren’t so matured to face this harsh and
meaningful society .
