A lab project in microcomputer hardware design (ecet-456) at purdue university calumet, where students design a multi-processing system using a 16f88 pic microcontroller and a pc embedded microprocessor. The objective is to capture temperature data from an lm34/lm35 sensor using the a/d converter on the 16f88, import the data to the pc via usb interface, process the data to display it on the screen in both fahrenheit and celsius, and control outputs based on temperature thresholds. The schematic for the project is also provided.

Design a multi processing system that includes a 16F88 PIC microcontroller and PC Embedded Microprocessor. The project will involve a software design for the 16F88 that will capture an analog signal from LM34/LM35 Temperature sensor. The A/D converter on 16F88 is utilized to convert the signal to a digital value representing the ambient temperature. This digital data value is outputted through 16F88 port.
a) This data is imported to PC via USB interface and then further processed to show the data on the PC screen both in degrees Fahrenheit and Celsius. Write it to a file
b) Set up a Range if the temperature gets above the specific range, make a FAN triggered.
c) If the temperature FALLS below the range make a LED Light
