The International Committee of the Red Cross as a Subject of International Law, Assignments of Law
This presentation explores the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as a subject of international law. Founded in Geneva in 1863, ICRC is an independent humanitarian organization that protects victims of international and internal armed conflicts. It is part of the International Movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, and operates based on the Swiss Civil Code. ICRC's international legal personality is demonstrated by its adherence to international humanitarian law, its agreements with states and international organizations, and its ability to establish regional delegations. ICRC's unique features include its consultative and observer status at international organizations. While ICRC does not have specific obligations under the Geneva Conventions and Additional Protocols, it exercises specific rights in relation to them.

- (^) Міжнародний комітет Червоного Хреста ( International Committee of the
Red Cross) є о дним із спеціальних суб’єктів міжнародного права.
МКЧХ є незалежною гуманітарною установою, яка була заснована в
1863 році у Женеві (Швейцарія) Анрі Дюнаном.
- Діяльність МКЧХ направлена на захист жертв міжнародних і
внутрішніх збройних конфліктів. Також вона є складовою частиною
Міжнародного Руху Червоного Хреста і Червоного Півмісяця разом із
Міжнародною Федерацією і 186 національними товариствами. МКЧХ
діє на основі Цивільного кодексу Швейцарії та до складу управління
Комітетом входять 25 швейцарських громадян.
Особливості МКЧХ

міжнародного права шляхом надання
консультативного статусу при
міжнародній організації (Економічній і
соціальній раді ООН) та є спостерігачем
при Генеральній Асамблеї ООН.
