Furo is a web-based assignment monitoring system designed to help students keep track of their assignments and projects, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines. The system includes a to-do list, email, and calendar scheduler, and can be connected to their school email for automatic assignment scheduling. With the increasing shift to online learning, Furo aims to improve productivity and allow professors to monitor student progress.

Must reflect the problem statement of the client/partner. It must also clearly identify the significance of the research problem One of the most prominent problems that students face, especially those that are in college is keeping track of what assignments they should do, and having trouble scheduling the task they should do first because there’s a lot of tasks to do. Keeping track of assignments and projects not only keeps you productive, but it trains your brain to be motivated to do so. This is further backed up by David Allen’s book: “Getting things done” wherein emphasizes the importance of monitoring the tasks that you need to complete. “The key behind GTD is writing everything down and sorting it effectively. This act of planning reduces the burden on the brain, which is struggling to hold the mental list of all the things we have to do. Releasing the burden of unfinished tasks on the mind frees it up to become more effective.” (Allen, 2002). As most educational institutions now transition to online learning due to the global pandemic, this system would help students be productive by providing a way to monitor their assignments and allows professors to check their progress as well. Furo is a web-based assignment monitoring system that includes a to-do list, email, and calendar scheduler. It aims to provide students with a platform that allows them to keep track of pending assignments and projects and alerts them of the remaining days left that the assignment is due and also provides a feature that automatically schedules their tasks depending on how important it is and how much time remaining until its deadline. It can be connected to their school email and would automatically schedule their assignment so that they would be alerted of pending tasks and deadlines. This can also be used by professors to be able to monitor the progress of their students in terms of completing their given tasks.
Cite existing work and/or use cases: review of related literature 2.1 To-do list and project monitoring systems Information technology has been utilized in all fields such as education or the academic environment. Implementing information systems in an academic environment such as new student registration, school profile, or grading system can improve the quality of academic work in High schools or Universities. (Hendra et al., 2018). Student pedagogic and curricular success is measured by the necessary and expectable knowledge acquisition throughout the academic endeavor. Control over this knowledge acquisition is critical and must be done in order to ensure the fulfillment of objectives within a higher education institution. (Daniel Mendes Pinheiro André, 2014). One of the fundamental tools for time management is a list of things that need to get done. It consolidates all the tasks in one place. From there they can prioritize them and tackle the important ones first. (Ian McKenzi, 2018). In the modern academic curriculum, projects are becoming more and more important. Time limitation is an undeniable issue that people face in daily life and work. Student projects are not an exception and most students and supervisors face this issue during the project progress. Students hardly can manage their time to do their projects and meet their supervisors. (Faez, et. al, 2014) 2.2 Task scheduling system Effective time management is associated with greater academic performance and lower levels of anxiety in students; however many students find it hard to find a balance between their studies and their day-to-day lives. (Richelle V. Adams, 2019). For students who are new to online learning, like those affected by school closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic or those simply looking to make a change, transitioning to online learning can take some getting used to. And, if you are adjusting to a full-time online program or balancing school and work, it is critical to be able to manage your time effectively. (Kelsey Miller, 2020).
